PlantGuard Web App

The PlantGuard is a smart plant care system. The main system, hardware and backend was built by Fabian Steiner. I added a web interface and an API to control and monitor the system.

The user could monitor the moisture level of each plant and water it manually if needed. Each plant has a custom built moisture sensor which communicates over BLE with a Raspberry PI. Additionally, the user could add rules which could be triggered when the moisture level was lower than a set threshold. If triggered by such a rule, a pump and magnetic valves will automatically water the plants a set amount of water and fertilizer.
